GROUP WORKERS' COMPENSATION INSURANCE PROGRAM
BXCC's workers' comp participants have enjoyed exceptional results over
the years. BXCC and State Fund strives to provide the broadest and most
flexible plans to benefit as many BXCC members as possible. BXCC's group
comp program is written by State Compensation Insurance Fund (State Fund).
The State Fund provides this flexibility by including all construction
trades in the plan and providing the lowest minimum premiums for the small
contractor and those just starting in business.
Participants in the group program receive a 6% group discount on their
workers' comp premium for being in a group (applies to all premiums above
the $650 minimum).
State Fund offers the new Managed Care Programs available state-wide to
members of the Builders Exchange. As a member insured by State Fund, you
can save up to 10% on your workers' compensation premiums when you join
either of State Fund's two new statewide Managed Care programs
To be eligible for our Managed Care Programs, you must:
- have a minimum of three employees eligible for health insurance
- offer a health insurance plan to the majority of your employees and
pay at least 50% of the health plan premiums, and
- have a written early return to work plan in place or be willing to
work with State Fund to establish one within 90 days.
In addition, State Fund Claims Reporting Center (1-888-222-3211) is
available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide referrals to the
nearest medical provider/facility which State Fund has chosen and screened
for their expertise in industrial injuries. The Claims reporting Center
will provide instant physician referrals for industrial injuries no matter
where or when the injury happens. The Claims reporting Center will also
process your initial paperwork and assist you with new claims
inquiries.
To qualify for this group program, you must be a member of the
Builders' Exchange of the Central Coast, Inc. with a three-year loss ratio less than 50%
and an experience modification (X-Mod) of less than 110%.
